a little more than two weeks ago, i finally finished my thesis! it sure was stressful towards the end, since i am -unfortunately- someone you could legitimately call a last minute guy. so there was a lot of formatting and last minute changes going on on the pentecoastal weekend.
that seems like the perfect moment so give credit to marin, who offered his help and put great work into looking through more than 60 pages to see if there were any mistakes (and there were quite a few...). marin, your help is greatly appreciated! i will definitely return the favor in a couple of weeks when you're close to the end!!
a week after i handed in my thesis, my advisor sent me an email that i passed! there's no grade yet, since it has to be assessed by one more person before it can be graded, but who cares :-)
i was so relieved, since my flight to canada was already booked and failing the thesis would have been a major tragedy. i'm glad the end of my studies also mark the end of my long distance relationship with my amazing heidi!
looking back on almost two years of dating someone so far away while being stuck in school makes me smile now (it sure didn't at the time...), simply because it is a great feeling to be done and finally get the chance to live in the same country.......
