Despite the tremendous temperature difference between Mexico and BC I immediatley felt welcome. Ariving at the Vancouver Airport you could totally feel the excitement of everyone about hosting the 2010 Winter Games.
I myself couldn't wait to be part of the Olympic family, to be part of Games that would make that proud country of Canada even more proud. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend the Opening Ceremonies, they put on quite a show, an incredible mix of what makes the Canadian culture Canadian. It was such an intense moment when they lit the Olympic Flame where you could feel 60,000 people being excited, happy and proud to be part of that spectacle and grateful to have their own personal 2010 Olympic experience that will last for a lifetime!
After running up the Canadian and the Olympic flag on the flag pole, we followed almost every competition. Good thing we had 4 countries to cheer for, that being the Canada, Norway, the US and Germay. So there were a lot of reasons to celebrate (in fact, these countries ranked 1-4 at the 2010 medal count).
That's our own little "Olympic family" representing Norway, Canada, the US and Germany.
At last, I want to say thank you to all of you to make that trip a oncce in a lifetime experience!!
